This lamp generates intense heat, is pressurized and could unexpectedly shatter. Therefore, protect people and surrounding from possible hot flying fragments with a suitable enclosure, shield, lens or screen.

Be sure power is off before installing or removing. Allow lamp to cool before replacing. Protect lamp from abrasions, scratches, and moisture during operation. Avoid fingermarks when handling for they may cause devitrification of the quartz and possible breakage.

Use this lamp only in fixtures where recommended by fixture manufactures. If in doubt, contact fixture manufacturer. Fixtures using this lamp should be used near combustible materials or those adversely affected by drying action due to the considerable heat radiated from this lamp.

Lamp performance depends on keeping lamp seal temperature below 650F and bulb wall temperature above 500F.

Lamps should be burned in well maintained sockets to preclude possible electrical arcing and fire hazards.
